Update from Torrevieja Local Police at 16:30 hours:

* Emergency Warning Level 1 situation due to flooding in the Municipality of Torrevieja activated by the Security and Emergency Agency of the Generalitat Valenciana *

The following routes are closed to traffic:

– AVD. Rosa Mazón with C / Valencia Cortes. Circulate with caution, little water.

– AVD. Valencian courts in both directions

– C / Apolo from C / Ramón Gallud to the roundabout on Avda. De Baleares. Flooded

– AVD. Delfina Viudes between the streets Monge and Bielsa and Avda. Rosa Mazón Valero

– AVD. Mariano Ruiz Canovas, height 222.

– AVD. of Paris with C / Roentgen

– AVD. from Paris from C / Galeón to Torrejon Alto, circulate with caution

– C / Efrén Gutiérrez with C / Gardenias, circulate with caution, little water

– Access to CV-905 and C / Gardenias with Avda. De Nenufares

– Doña Inés area, the whole urbanization

– C / Villa de Madrid under the bridge of the N-332 (Parque de las Naciones)

– C / Orihuela CV-905

– C / Urbano Arregui from Mar Menor to Villa Madrid area

Civil Guard Traffico informs that the following routes are also closed:

– CV-905 in the direction access to Torrevieja is open

– CV-905 exit from Torrevieja towards the AP-7 is open two lanes, circulate with caution, little water

– The N-332 is currently open to traffic as are accesses

– CV-95 is open to traffic, is checked to the roundabout access to the AP-7

* Also, remember that the public transport service is suspended from 08:00 hours.

** It is advised not to use the vehicles as much as possible and that people should stay indoors.

Earlier updates

Following continued rainfall the Safety Board met in the Torrevieja Town Hall in order to analyse the current situation as a result of the heavy rains suffered by the city.

The meeting was chaired by the mayor of Torrevieja, José Manuel Dolón, and also the Councillor for Emergencies, Javier Manzanares, and the Works and Services, Domingo Soler. Representatives of Local Police, Civil Protection, Fire, Civil Guard were also present along with Agamed and the Grua.

The following measures were agreed at the meeting:

– Maintain the safety and emergency device to try to mitigate and prevent possible damages.

– Evacuate the campsite of Lo Albentosa.

– Request the population to stay at home and, as far as possible, not leave and, above all, not use vehicles.

The Latest Traffic update from the Torrevieja Local Police timed at 3pm Saturday:

– C / Efrén Gutiérrez with C / Gardenias, alternative way does not exist

– Access to CV-905 and C / Gardenias with Avda. De Nenufares. Alternative route does not exist

– Doña Inés area, the whole urbanization. Alternative route does not exist

– C / Villa de Madrid under the bridge of the N-332 (Parque de las Naciones)

– C / Orihuela address CV-905 is fully collapsed

– C / Urbano Arregui from Mar Menor to Villa Amalia area

Civil Guard of Traffic informs that the routes are cut:

– * CV-905 in the sense of access to Torrevieja is open *

– * CV-905 exit from Torrevieja towards the AP-7 is opened by a lane *

– * The N-332 is currently open to traffic as are the accesses *

– CV-95 is open to traffic, is checked to the roundabout access to the AP-7

* Also, remember that the public transport service is suspended from 08:00 hours.
