La Manga Club provided the platform for Spain to claim a memorable win over Japan in the Fed Cup this month, and tennis lovers can enjoy the same world-class facilities when booking a sunshine tuition break at Spain’s leading sports resort this spring.

Spain’s ladies made full use of the award-winning venue’s amenities to book their place in the Fed Cup finals in April, and amateurs of all levels can work on every aspect of their games at the resort’s outstanding 28-court tennis centre over the coming months.

There is no shortage of options for enthusiasts looking for a training break under sunny skies with a range of academies available for both adults and juniors, as well as accommodation savings of up to 40 per cent in La Manga Club’s five-star Hotel Principe Felipe or four-star Las Lomas Village.

Prices for a five-night stay including five-day academy start from €574 per person (approx £480), with discounts of 25 per cent also available at official resort restaurants and on treatments at the luxury Wellness Centre.

Heading the numerous academies on offer this spring is La Manga Club’s hugely popular Adult Academy (bookable Mon-Fri  from €245pp (approx £205)) and Weekend Warrior camps (bookable Fri-Sun from €200pp (approx £165)), where guests can enjoy coaching on all parts of the game.

Youngsters can put their skills to the test by taking in the five-day ‘Advanced Matchplay’ camp, which offers 15 hours’ expert tuition on all areas of the game for players of all abilities. Also running over five days and aimed at juniors aged from 12-19 is the resort’s ‘Junior Elite’ academy, which features two intensive training sessions a day and has been specifically designed for players looking to compete at a high level.

The official overseas training base of the Lawn Tennis Association as well as an official resort partner of Tennis Europe – Europe’s largest tennis association – La Manga Club has been at the forefront of world tennis for more than 45 years and regularly hosts top tournaments and the game’s biggest stars.

The resort’s world-class facilities include 20 clay courts (in addition to the exhibition court and central court with capacity for 1,200 spectators), four fast courts and four artificial grass courts.

Away from tennis, other facilities include three 18-hole golf courses and a 2,000sqm Wellness Centre, while La Manga Club is the home to Spain’s only official Chelsea FC Foundation Soccer School. In addition, it features the choice of a five-star hotel and four-star serviced apartments and townhouses, and more than 15 bars and restaurants.
