Firstly, apologies for there not being a report for last week however rest assured it’s now back to business as usual!

Monday saw us compete in ‘The Counter Game’. The twist here was that we didn’t know how many of the four scores were to count until reaching the next hole. The ever consistent (but fictional) Albert helped Paul Brown, Joyce McClusky and Benedicte Kruse into 2nd place whilst myself, Bryan Neal, Olga Douglas and Mike Mahony took the glory with 102 points (just 4 points short of our all-time  record).

Terry Field was not present today as we’d sent him off on a scouting mission looking for new members. Look who he found!!! (John Daly the 1995 British Open winner).

Wednesday’s winner of our Stableford was Joyce McClusky with 38 points followed by Paul Brown with 36. The story of the day has to belong to Reg Akehurst, who on the eve of his 90th birthday, took 5th place with 34 points. Is this some sort of record?  If anyone knows otherwise please contact us via our website: lasramblasgolfsociety.com

There were two ‘2’s today coming from Richard Connock and Alan Douglas.

Friday and it was a 6x6x6. With a terrific 89 points 1st place went to Olga Douglas, Pete Dunn, Mike Chapman and Mike Mahony. Just one point behind them and taking silver were Ken and Liz Robertson, John Shervell and Harry Howard.

Por ultimo, golfer says to caddy, ‘Do you think I can get there with a 5 iron?’ Caddy replies, ‘Eventually sir.’

Pues hasta la semana que viene
