For the past 2 weeks, our league bowlers have enjoyed a break while the Spanish Nationals competition was taking place.

This year the competition was played as a “round robin” up to the semi finals and finals. QBC entrants in the various disciplines did well in the group rounds. But it was Peter Morgan and Terry Morgan who were victorious, winning the Mens Pairs. Peter Morgan also won the Mens Singles title. Fantastic results – well done Peter and Terry.

Meantime, resuming the leagues this week in the gorgeous sunshine, in the South Alicante Summer League Spitfire Division, Quesada Lancasters didnt have a good week. On Monday they played San Luis Wellingtons who won the match 10-2 and shots 99-58. And on Friday, playing their sister team Quesada Blenheims, they also lost that match with the Blenheims winning 12-0 with the shots 109-49. As always though, the match was played in good spirit. Blenheims also won their match earlier in the week 12-0 against San Miguel Christians with the shots 108-63. Well done to the Blenheims.
