Enrique Moya, co-owner of Greenlands Adventure Golf Sports Complex in Los Montesinos, Alicante, is all set for the 1st Spring Golf Cup on April 25.
“We are going to celebrate the first 18 hole adventure golf tournament –
The Spring Cup – which we plan to be an annual event,” Enrique told me.
Greenlands Adventure Golf Sports Complex is the biggest 18 holes mini golf in Europe, that has been carefully designed, nestled amongst palm trees, bushes, waterfalls, rivers and rocks.
“The 1st Spring Cup will hopefully be followed by Summer Cup and Winter Cup events, that is what we are aiming for,” said Enrique.
“To establish annual golf events at Greenlands,” said Enrique, 25, co-owner of Greenlands with Mario Revuelta and Pedro Garrido.
“Substantial work has been undertaken at Greenlands since June 2018, with collaboration and design-improvised ideas making it real,” said Enrique.
The 1st Spring Golf Cup on Thursday April 25 will start with the first group of 90 players at 10am, with a Shot Gun Tee Start, followed by a second group at 12.30pm.
“Entries have come in from across the Costa Blanca. With Scandinavia nationals well presented,” said Enrique.
“Along with players from Scandinavia, there are participants from Iceland, Finland, England and Spain,” said Enrique.
“The 1st Spring Cup is open to all nations,” said Enrique.
The 1st Spring Cup entry fee of 15 euros includes a BBQ after the tournament, along with chicken paella and vegetables being served.
“There are prizes for the top 3 participants in each of the mens and ladies categories,” said Enrique.
Prize category: 1st place: Pro-Tekt putter + Bono of 10 Minigolf games + Bottle of Cava (value 160€). 2nd place: Bono of 10 Minigolf games + Bottle of Cava (value 130€).
3rd place: Callaway cap + one round of Play & Eat in the Adventure Golf + Bottle of Cava (value 60€).
