The Leader racing tipster Andrew Atkinson hit the bookies once again in Saturday’s early races – lead by tip Hawk High which landed the 12.25 at Newcastle – one of FIVE selections.

Hawk High, trained by Tim Easterby and ridden by B.S. Hughes, returned to the winner’s enclosure at odds of 5-2 after thwarting odds on 1-2 favourite Cool Mix.

Younoso (1.30) also obliged at Newcastle when the Miss T. Jackson trained-Ross Chapman ridden winner returned at 2-1.

At Lingfield Matterhorn (1.15) gave Leader punters joy when winning at 8-11 ahead Mythical Madness (16-1).

Nigel Twiston-Davies trained Torpillo, ridden by Daryl Jacobs, gave the Costa Blanca leading tipster Atkinson another successful selection when winning the 12.15 race at Sandown at 30-100.

Laurina, ridden by Ruby Walsh, landed the Sandown 1.50 race at 1-8 ahead of a tilt for the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.

“We can’t get carried away talking about the Champion Hurdle,” said Walsh.

“It was an exercise for her but I would say she’s improved. Ruby was pleased for her at this stage of the season,” said trainer Willie Mullins.
