King Felipe and Queen Leticia are currently in the United States where they spent the weekend in New Orleans (Louisiana) and San Antonio (Texas), before travelling to Washington where, on Tuesday they will be welcomed into the White House by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and the First Lady.

In New Orleans, to mark the 300th anniversary of the founding of the city in the southern United States, the king was presented with the keys of the City by the mayor of New Orleans Latoya Cantrell.

On Friday, following the 3-3 draw with Portugal, he was asked if he was going to Russia to watch the World Cup and, in particular, if he would be watching Spain in the final.

“Let’s see, let’s see … I think they have a chance, touch wood. The first game is a first game, it’s complicated, but well, they have scored three goals, which is very important,” the monarch said.
