An 8,000 sq mtr plot of land located next to the sea, licensed as developable on which it is ready to build houses. Price? At least 3.4 million euros. That is the reserve price for the plot that the Pilar de la Horadada council has agreed to auction in the area of ​​La Torre.

If the transaction goes through, the council will use at least half of the funds to make improvements investments in the municipality.

This matter was approved during the recent plenary session held in the town following a proposal by the government team. Councillor José Francisco Albaladejo explained that with 1.7 million euros the local administration will finance multiple projects.

It will include all those proposed in the participatory budgets, which allowed the residents to decide the expenditure of 600,000 euros, proposals such as equipment required for Holy Week, work on the medical office of Pinar de Campoverde, classrooms for social and labour training, and the renovation of urban furniture.

With the remaining funds Albaladejo said that the money is reserved for the construction of an exclusive hotel the building of which will be put out to public tender as then will be its management for a period to be determined, that could reach 50 years.

He added that it will not be too difficult to formalise the sale of the Town Hall plot given that the coastal area of the municipality still enjoys intense real estate activity and hundreds of homes are still being built.
