Adrián Ballester, the provincial deputy and vice-president of the Diputación de Alicante, was in Callosa de Segura on Tuesday where, together with the mayor Fran Maciá, the pair unveiled the new council web page.

The website ( www.callosadesegura.es ) is split into three main areas: the first comprises information of general interest for its residents and visitors, as well as upcoming events and the duty chemists.

The second area has the most important information, the City Council’s electronic headquarters where residents can find details of the municipal budget, E-procedures, Electoral data, Contractor Profile and so forth while the third section deals with tourism, cultural heritage, gastronomy and more.

The new website has been produced using free software, thus saving the council € 40,000 / year.

The free application “MuniciApp” is also now live to make it easier for residents to access the website of its City Council. Through this app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, users can find  useful and updated information including a street map, events and other items of interest.

Adrián Ballester, explained that: “the website and the app will enable users to find information as well as to report possible incidents directly to the correct authority so that they can be dealt with rather more efficiently than at present”.
