Don’t forget the Dia de Europa this coming weekend which will be celebrated on the playa at Flamenca Beach on Saturday 12 May getting underway at 12 noon and in the Entre Naranjos urbanisation on the following day, Sunday 13 May, where it opens with a Dog Marathon at 11am which will cover a distance of 2.2 kms.

The local council are promoting both events as a day of coexistence among all residents associations, a large number of which will be represented at the two venues.

The activities will be similar on both the Saturday and the Sunday with entertainment throughout both afternoons, including a dessert contest, food tasting and a fireworks display at 8.15 pm.

There will also be a Vintage Bus with free beer for all attendees although quite how long the free beer will last is anybody’s guess.

In Entre Naranjos the event will take place between calle Avellana and calle Melocotonero  (the green area) and everybody is welcome to attend.
