Mojácar’s Municipal Tourism Office has recently renewed its prized SICTED seal of quality, which it has held since 2015.

In an official ceremony at Vera Town Hall, the Manager of Mojácar’s Tourism Office, Carmen García Campoy, was presented with the quality badge and diploma by Domingo Fernández, Mayor of Huercal-Overa and President of the Association of the Levante Almeriense Municipalities.

SICTED is a programme designed by the Ministry of Tourism and supported by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, to improve the quality of tourist destinations.  The quality badge has biennial validity, although there is also an annual evaluation to undergo.

The distinction was awarded to Mojácar in recognition of; working practices and services, efforts to meet all targets and, for their commitment to quality improvement and customer satisfaction.

Mojácar’s Tourist Office has fulfilled all the requirements set out by the Spanish Federation and the Association of Municipalities and on this year’s renewal, their website www.mojacar.es, one of the province’s most visited, has been particularly commended.

As well as the website, Facebook pages include; Turismo de Mojácar (with more than 40,000 followers), Mojácar Informa and Mojácar Ofertas, which is accessible to all local establishments to offer promotions for anyone seeking information.  These, along with Twitter and Instagram keep Mojácar at everyone’s fingertips, giving easy access to the town’s information whoever or wherever you are.
