WOLFPACK GOLF SOCIETY

Hey friends, fellow golfers or not, as the case may be. We played at Alamo for our February day out and the course was reasonable. What is unreasonable is the increase once again in charges, which can only be described as "Swingeing".
Example: in December we paid 25 euros for buggies, this time 35 euros. In December we paid 40 euros for the green fee, this time 48 euros. These inflated prices put them on a par with a well-known resort on the coast but without the facilities. We as a society had decided that this would be the course of choice for us for this season and planned three more visits there including the hotter months in June, July and August. I have to tell them NOT any more. No explanation was forthcoming for these double figure increases.
On the day the winners were:
1. Rod Norgate (new member, doesn't know what's heading his way)
2. P Durk
3. J Booth
Vega Baja league: In February's match we played Benijofar who are leading the table and we came out with a creditable draw. Star John Woodey Capt Elect who was described by the opposition as a "Real Bandit". They should have seen him at Alamo. No fairways hit, no putts holed in a grand score of 20pts. After the Lord Mayors show comes to mind. In March we threw in the second string, again a creditable 2-2 draw. If we go any higher in the league we will all have nosebleeds from the increase in altitude.
The February away game was at Altorreal a course we visit infrequently, it was generally good but some parts were threadbare and need replacing. The winners were. 1. C Johnson :2. T Crowhurst: 3. J Robinson: Best Guest. N Summerfield : One chap told me that he has had 6 operations since he's been in Spain; his wife thinks he's leaving her to go back to the UK bit by bit.
A French man was walking past a cow pasture when a gust of wind blew his beret off. He tried six on before he found his own.
Kyle of Orange (our illustrious Capt) has arranged the societies May Ball for June!!!
The next two matches are April 11 at Bonalba and in May we are going to Las Pinnaillas in Albacete. (Not to be missed). The Capt has suggested that at Pinnaillas we have a colt's v Stallions match (Considering the average age of the society we are looking for colts over 55) or a North UK v South UK (Where do we put the paddy's).
Here are the new golfing terms courtesy of our Capitano. An Adolf Hitler. Two shots in a bunker. A condom, safe but didn't feel good. A nipple sucker, opens up the hole. Rock Hudson. Thought it was straight but it wasn't. Putting like a gynaecologists assistant "shaving the hole". Gerry Adams is taking a provisional. Can't print the others due to the censor.
Spring has now sprung and I'm being required to lift my feet up more and more to accommodate the swishing mop and her favourite mode of flying, the broom. Well its exercise of a sort.
Happy Days! JR
