I am sending you this email to see if it is possible for you to mention it in your newspaper to help us promote any or all of the events which we are doing for Laura.

FUND RAISING FOR LOCAL GIRL, LAURA
Some of you may know Laura. A few years ago Laura was diagnosed with cancer. She was treated with chemotherapy, radiology and operations. In 2007 Laura was cancer free. Unfortunately this year the cancer has returned.
Laura will do all she can to beat the cancer with conventional medicines not only for herself but her husband.
But primarily for her four children. Aging from a ten year old and the youngest being five. With the full backing and support of the AECC and the use of their registered charity number, a bank account has been opened.

We are now able to raise money for Laura to receive treatment. At a private clinic the cost of which is 10.000 euro.
Fund raising events will be held at local bars, etc. and the details will be available as soon as possible.

The Venue - An Evening of entertainment with Tony Lincoln, Crash Wednesday, Jon Summer, Samantha Curtis, Layla, PDQ 3 Piece Band Raffle - Tickets 10 Euros which goes direct to the appeal - To book tickets Tel 676650210 Lyn/Ken or 690272706 Maureen - We shall be having a raffle and tombola so we would be grateful for any donations, so dig deep. AECC & LAURA
Through your newspaper we would like to extend our sincere thanks to friends, neighbours and the public in general for all their support with our fundraising for the AECC over many years. In particular to the bars, restaurants and venues but not without the help and support from local artists who performed free of charge, would it all have been possible.
We have raised over 30,000€ for the AECC, but now we feel we need to try and help other charities, in particular we are aiming to help Carrie Rogers with the "Laura Appeal".
An evening of entertainment will be held at The Venue on Tuesday 22 September with Tony Lincoln and various acts giving their time free of charge. Doors open at 7pm. Show starts at 7.30pm. Bar snacks will be available. Tickets are 10€ which goes directly to the appeal.
There will also be a fund raising night at the new Dining Room, San Luis on Saturday 19 September.
