The latest report on the rental prices of holiday homes in seaside resorts this summer has just been released by Tecnitasa in which they say that the cheapest prices in Andalusia are in the Almeria district of El Zapillo, where to rent an apartment you can expect to pay a rate of 11 euros per square meter, prices that can be beaten in only two places in the entire country, Grao in Castellon, where flats can be rented at 9 euros per square meter, and the town of lucense de Viveiro, 50km to the east of Corunna in the very north of Spain, where you can expect to pay 10 euros.
In Andalusia, it is estimated that rental prices have fallen in the last four years by about 25%, the area in Spain to have seen the sharpest decline as a result of the economic crisis.
Another company, Tinsa, report that Almeria has experienced the largest decline among all the provinces of Andalusia, just over 18 percent in the last year, seven points above the average in the Autonomy, where homes have lost 11.5 of their market value, alongside Tarragona, Toledo, Zaragoza and Segovia.
