ZENIA BOULEVARD TO OPEN ON 25 SEPTEMBER

Zenia Boulevard, on target to become the largest shopping centre in the Alicante Province, is set to be inaugurated on 25 September. It will open its doors to the general public on the following day. Creating in excess of 1,800 direct jobs the centre investment will exceed 200 million euros.
In confirming that 96% capacity has already been filled, Valentín Serrano, General Manager of Immochan España, S.A. said the centre would accommodate popular national, international and local brands such as the hypermarket Alcampo, which will also include a petrol station, Leroy Merlin, Decathlon, Norauto, Conforama, Casino del Mediterráneo, Tenpin Bowling, Primark, Inditex with Zara and their other trademarks, H&M, C&A, Deichmann, Guess, Geox, Swarovski, Punto Roma, Muerde la Pasta , Kiko, Druni, Marvimundo, Baby Center, and many others.
Alcampo will also have an on-line sales service with the same prices as in the supermarket itself. It also offers a home delivery service or the possibility to pick it up at the hyper, where Alcampo staff will load and pack your shopping into your car in 5 minutes.
The Boulevard has an area of 161,000 sq. meters and a Gross Leasable Area (GLA) of 80,000 m2 that makes it the largest shopping and leisure centre in the province of Alicante.
The implementation of this modern centre represents the company’s commitment to the future of the Valencian Community. In terms of employment the centre has been responsible for generating rather more than the 1,800 direct jobs that we will see on opening. There have also been over 1,000 other employees working on its construction in addition to which there will be a large number of jobs created through indirect employment generated by those ancillary company’s supplying it with products and services
The mall, has excellent visibility from the AP-7 motorway and easy access thanks to the improvements made to local roads, has already sold the 96% of iits capacity and will house 150 stores, 90% of which will be distributed on one floor, making it comfortable and easy to visit. It will also provide 5,000 free parking places, half of them of which will be underground.

Committed to the Environment the new Immochan centre has very ambitious aims in terms of sustainability and as well as a commitment to the environment.
It will implement a Zero Discharge system for the total segregation and recovery of waste, in order to obtain the highest assessment and the least amount of waste possible.
Waste will be managed and treated from the source: Commercial Solid Waste, cardboard, glass, wood, iron, hazardous waste, hangers, etc.
The centre will also be equipped with a composting machine to generate compost that will be reused on landscaped areas.
According to its sustainability policy, Immochan España S.A. is also working to obtain the environmental certification ISO 14001, the ISO 9001 quality and OHSAS 18001 Occupation Health and Safety.
The centre will be equipped with LED lighting in the underground and surface parking as well as in other areas. It also will have a metering system for saving energy.
Immochan is the real estate company of the Auchan Holding. It operates in 12 countries, with 320 shopping centres and almost 2 million sq. Meters (hypermarkets not included). In Spain the company manages 30 shopping centres, 29 are their own.
