LA SIESTA BOWLS REPORT

Our first friendly game of the Nationals Season was a reminder of how pleasant such games can be. Very nice weather, extremely pleasant company and a good game of bowls played in a convivial atmosphere, all thanks to Quesada. Well perhaps they did not arrange the weather!
La Siesta got the cherry from the cake beating Quesada by three rinks to two and 91 shots to 73. I am not so sure that our opponents found Sheila Millward, Ramsay Sinclair and Roy Millward that friendly (31-10), but Penny Porter, Romie Hutton and John Porter were more friendly (16-10); while Pat and Terry Baylis playing with Dave Eccles got close to making the game a draw with a 12 all scoreline on end 15, but they pulled ahead to win (17-13).
Thanks again to Quesada and we are looking forward to the return game next Monday.
The Chicken and Egg latest winners are (Chicken) Bill Truefitt, (Wine) David Porter and (Eggs) John Lincoln. Should you wish to take up a new sport, make new friends, with a little gentle exercise, you will be made very welcome. We have bowls & shoes for hire.
