JAVEA TOWN HALL AWARDS CONTRACTS FOR BEACH SERVICES

The Town Hall opened the proposals received for the temporary beach services. According to sources from the Department of Environment and Beaches headed by Doris Courcelles, a total of 19 proposals were received for the contracts that had expired in 2010.
After checking the details of the proposals on both technical and economical levels, the department offered the operation of sunbed and umbrella hire along a 120m stretch of La Grava Beach to Alfredo Monge for 1,810 Euros, operation of sunbed and umbrella hire along a 325m stretch of the Benissero or Primer Montañar to Rute SL Ponts for 3,650 euros and the same service along a 1,712m stretch on the Arenal Beach to Lorenzo Rey for 55,000 Euros.
As for the nautical contracts, a new award has been made for a kayak rental service on the Granadella beach. The option received most interest with eight proposals and has been awarded to Luis de la Mata who bid 3,500 euros for the right to the service.
The Town Hall is very interested in making these services available as well as creating opportunities for self-employment with these contracts, for which it has lowered the price of the initial tender established in 2010.
The contract were awarded to the highest bidders after checking that all proposals were met all the technical requirements and regulations.
