St. Patrick’s Day is quickly becoming a feast day for both classic and custom car fans and their owners, with not one, but two events, all happening on the same day. Activities start around 10.00am and continue until 2.00pm Saturday, when AST Tools in conjunction with Mercadillo Moncayo, present the Inaugural MOTOR FAIR, with the support of Torrevieja’s Sunday Drivers Club. This Classic and Custom Car plus Bike Rally offers prizes for the best turned out vehicles, and all members of the public are invited to participate by voting for your favourite motor.
Entrance is free for all vehicles and visitors. On hand will be many local motoring trades people so it’s your opportunity to ‘Ask the experts!’ There will also be an Auto Service Centre, with representatives from some of the Costa Blanca's leading Garages on hand to answer your questions and give out information along with Insurance Experts, Tyre Clinic, Custom and Bodywork Specialists, Automotive Tools, plus all the fun of the weekly Market. There is also a Restaurant plus Food Stalls on site and the Motor Fair offers a fantastic day out for all! It’s located just off the N332, at The Moncayo Market, behind Procomobel on the outskirts of Guardamar, at the end/start of the Lemon Tree Road.
But the fun does not end there because at 2.00pm the cars and bikes will move off in convoy, onto the N332 and make their way south to Cabo Roig to participate in Spain’s only St. Patrick’s Day parade. Arriving around 2.30pm, the vehicles will be on display for about an hour before heading off for four or five circuits around the Parade Route before leading the Parade proper, at 4.00pm.
