THE NOSMO-KING CLUB MOVES TO A NEW VENUE

The Nosmo-King Club has been in existence for over 10 years, which probably makes it the longest established successful ex-Pats club in Torrevieja.
The club meets at 11.00a.m. every Thursday morning and on 1st March is moving to El Paraiso, Jardin del Mar, near Carrefour. The format is quite simple – quizzes, speakers on a variety of topics, experts on many subjects, outings on the last Thursday of every month, Sunday lunches, a book club, and occasionally a concert given by local choirs and musicians. The club has members who are representative of some of the choirs and bands etc. There are also members of Torre Army, Costaleros and Nazarenas – this helps us keep up-to-date with the local social scene and very often members attend functions connected to the afore-mentioned groups.
A free monthly newsletter keeps members informed about what has happened and what is being planned for the forthcoming months. Currently, there are places available for new members so come along and meet us at our new venue on Thursday 1st March. Your first visit is free, and then you can join for €20 per annum or pay €12 for six months for which you will get certain subsidies. Casual visitors can pay a euro a week on each visit. The picture shows our Chairperson, Dorothy Wilson presenting a cheque to one of our charities for this year at the 2012 Annual General Meeting. She is helped with running the club smoothly by a Committee of 10 other persons elected at the AGM. We look forward to seeing some new faces, the criteria being that you want to be with a social group of like-minded non-smokers.
