PIANO CYCLE CONTINUES IN JAVEA WITH PERFORMANCE BY MUÑOZ CAÑIVANO

Conservatory students to give recitals of saxophone, violin and double bass
Javea. Thursday,2nd February 2012. On Friday, 10 February, the Professional Conservatory of music of Javea will host a new recital included in the piano cycle, by Barcelona musician Juan José Muñoz Cañivano. The free concert will begin at 9 p.m. and the program includes works by F. Schumann, F. Chopin, E. Grieg, and M. Moussorgsky.
Cañivano Muñoz has a very busy and intense performance schedule and regularly collaborates with prestigious Chamber music groups and solo artists such as the Kocian Quartet of Prague, the flautist Vincenç Prats (soloist with the Orchestre de Paris), oboist Dorin Gliga (Georges Enescu Orchestra ofn Bucharest), the cellist Igor Musteata or the guitarist María Esther Guzmán.
Among his upcoming plans are performances with some of the principle Spanish orchestras: the Orchestra of Córdoba, under the direction of Rudolf Sanglimbeni (director of the Municipal Orchestra of Caracas) at the of Spanish Music Festival in Cádiz; the Orchestra of the Balearic Islands with Salvador Brotons, and concerts in the U.S.A., Venezuela and Argentina, among other places.
He also devotes a part of his time to teaching courses at different conservatories and music schools, having been a professor of piano and chamber music at the Centre for Musical Studies in Barcelona.
His versatility, his interpretative skill and ability to communicate with the audience, as well as his solid technique, has allowed him to reap tremendous success and arouse the enthusiasm of the audiences wherever he plays, making him one of the most highly regarded performers of the current piano scene.
Also next week you will be able to enjoy two recitals offered by the musicians of the Conservatori Professional de Xàbia. On Wednesday, at 7 p.m., there will be a saxophone recital and on Friday at the same time, there will be a recital of violin and double bass.
