BARBERSHOP BOOST FOR A BUDDY!!

Q4, the popular quartet from the Torrevieja Harmonisers, decided it was time to boost the spirits of ERNST DIRKSEN. Ernst, one of the Harmonisers, has been ill and unable to attend rehearsals for some time. Q4 decided to arrange a special lunch and transport for him to San Luis’s restaurant Villa Salada. He was amazed to see over 100 old friends in attendance!
Ernst was delighted to listen to Quartets including Q4, EuFOURia and Lead’s Astray. The ‘Harmonisers’, conducted by Gail Grainger, sang many songs known to Ernst, then Gail’s Ladies Quartet ‘Viva’, from the ‘Spangles’ chorus in Los Alcazares, added some comedy numbers to bring a smile to Ernst’s face!
Jan, Ernst’s wife, who also sings with the ‘Spangles’, had a tear in her eye as she was presented with a beautiful floral arrangement. She also mentioned how they are so grateful to the ‘Harmonisers’ and PAUL CUNNINGHAM NURSES for continued help throughout their difficult time. Thanks also to “Stormin’ ” Norman Higgins, Ernst’s Physiotherapist who was on hand throughout the afternoon.
We wish Ernst continued improvement and look forward to hearing him sing with the ‘Harmonisers’ in the not too distant future!
