From this Saturday, weekend mornings are about to take a whole new direction on Exite Radio, as we strive to bring you more of the quality radio shows that you want.
On Saturday morning we will kick start your day with Steve Christy from 9am until 12 noon, brining his own wacky style of humour to your breakfast wakeup call, in a show packed with funny stories, jokes as well as great music, and the Euromillions lottery numbers from www.exitelottery.com. Originally from Liverpool, Steve moved around the UK and spent many a year in Taunton, Somerset, before moving to Spain 6 years ago. He has become a very popular character to radio and is a welcome addition to the team.
Then, from 12 noon on Saturday, Lee “Foxy” Fox takes over the airwaves with The Saturday Show, the show with more bite. Foxy will fill you with all the latest celebrity gossip, the UK newspaper reviews, requests, fun and a whole lot more. Lee starting broadcasting here in Spain in 2005 and has already built up a very loyal following locally, as well as a brand new following on Twitter!
Together, Steve and Lee will really kick start your Saturday on Exite Radio, with the best content on the best station on the Costa Blanca, Costa Cálida and streaming to a loyal, global audience.
On a Sunday, we will take a completely different approach. From Sunday 5th September, George T Moore will be extending his Sweet Sounds on a Sunday show, mixing in music, chat, and features that are sure to start your Sunday morning off on a positive note.
Starting at 8:00, George will start with Classic Breakfast, playing light classical music, just perfect for enjoying over your Sunday breakfast.
He will then take you into the usual Sweet Sounds on a Sunday show, with his praise and worship section, before the Church Notices. Then, George will introduce a new segment to his show called My Favourite Things, in which George will take a studio guest on a trip down memory lane.
The new format Sweet Sounds on a Sunday will still operate in conjunction with the Torrevieja Christian Fellowship, and is both an exciting and key element in the development of programs often considered of a more “specialist” nature and often ignored by other stations.
George himself said “I am very excited by this development. I did a similar show for almost a year on another station some time ago and it became so popular, the show was repeated during the week”.
From 10 in the morning, we will bring you Easy Like a Sunday Morning, 2 hours of easy listening classics and hits from today, back to back to ease you into your Sunday.
Everyone at Exite Radio are excited by the new shows that start this week. It shows a diverse range of shows that proves we are not shy about bringing in new ideas and concepts, if that is what you want. We consider ourselves lucky to have you listening, so if there is anything we can do to satisfy your needs more, then we are always prepared to listen.
