World Cup fever has well & truly taken over our television screens and I’m gutted that I’m missing my soaps. Throw the World Cup over to the Sport’s channels – that’s what I say, and even if Ireland made it to the World Cup I’d be saying exactly the same thing. I’m just not much of a sport’s lover I’m afraid.
I took a visit to the new ‘El Corte Chino’ shop in Punta Prima the other day and it’s absolutely massive. Sure it has to be as big as, or even bigger than Carrefour & Mercadona. It has everything and anything you can think of in it. I could spend the whole day in there. In saying that, send me into any kind of shop in the world and I’ll always come out with something! I think it’s the best Chinese shop around at the moment, but sure we’ll have to wait and see what the ‘new one’ is like when it opens in Cabo Roig.
Another amazing building just about finished is the new restaurant in Playa Flamenca, just across the blue bridge. I think it’s called ‘The Banana Tree 2’. It’s going to be a Thai restaurant, but the amount of work and detail that’s gone into it is out of this world. The more places that open the merrier, especially up around that way. At the moment, that’s the only business opening in that little area, so I’m sure it should do alright really. There’s another place opening up in that Commercial Centre across from Lidl in La Zenia. The one with the big pint glass thingy on top of the roof. I’m not sure if it’s going to be a German bar or not, but again the amount of work that’s gone into it is lovely and I can’t wait until it opens, to pop in and have a nosy. It’d be rude not to.
I’ve been trying to organize my wedding, hopefully for mid December in Ireland and I have so many ideas floating around in my head. There’s so much to do, it’s just crazy. I never realized before, just how much organization has to go into it. Thank goodness for the wonders of the internet, teaching me things I never even knew existed. I’ve been on Amazon trying to get snow machines as I want some back up just in case it doesn’t snow. I want to have it around Christmas time so as all the decorations, trees and lights will be up anyway. The church will also have the nativity scene set up, so it’ll be beautiful. Fingers crossed all goes to plan and I don’t get lazy trying to get everything sorted.
I’ve been laptopped up to my eyeballs the last week. They’ve been breaking all around me and I’ve been on panic alert, especially with work at the weekends. Steve from Key Tech computers has been my saviour and got them sorted for me, so I’ve got to say a huge thank you to him. Also a massive thanks to Johnny Lea for sorting out my hard drive and for all my ‘One Tree Hill’s’. Cheers Johnny, I owe you 1 or 5.
Have a good week xXx
