On Friday night strange happenings took place at the New Asturias restaurant; the cause was yet another monster made of Gingerbread. After sparking a huge search Mrs. Baker was quoted as saying " She´s not a monster; I only used the best ingredients on her ".
Directed by Jayme Stewart the comedy fairy tale play; "The Gingerbread Girl" was produced for The Ghost Academy Of Performing Arts Drama Club. All the fun was in aid of The AECC and over two hundred euros was raised on the night. The FC Torreveija Goalkeeper Aurelio and Striker Lotvi came along to support the play and also to draw the raffle! All proceeds were donated and gifts for the raffle were donated by The Treasure Chest, Mary and Hugh Stewart, Julie Salmon, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Aurelio Borghino among others.
The talented cast range in ages of 9 to 15 years and all of them have worked very hard in a very short rehearsal period to get the play ready for performance. Every Saturday the children rehearse in the Ghost Drama Club and in fact this play; under the direction of Jayme was produced with only 6 weeks worth of practice! A great evening was had by all and a lot of money raised for a worthy cause.
