Southern League: - The Ramblers did a really good job at La Siesta on Friday playing their Blue squad. We came away with three superb wins and also the big game. What a good result on rink five, Ann Horswell, Sheila Cammack & Terry Padgett won with a terrific score of 34-5, the home team must have been shaking in their boots!

Pat Patton, Maurice Horswell & Brian Patton left their opponents standing and were 17-1 up after nine ends and went on to win 22-8. Jenny Chaplin, Peter Hinds & Dave Chaplin played a closer game, but the good guys eventually came out on top with a win of 17-12.
Not too far behind but not in with the points were Lynne Bishop, Geoff Paylor & Eric Bishop who lost 11-15. Shirley Verity, Noel Verity & Ken Cuthbert who lost 18-23 against a very strong Blue team and Charlie Watkins, George Thomson & Bruce Aitken who lost 11-17. Overall shots:- Ramblers 113(8) - 80(6) Blue's, a good away win. Chris Darnell. Bryan Kirk & Ron Cammack couldn't master rink 1 and lost the friendly.
SABA:- This weeks game took our Supernovas to the Emerald Isle to play the Saturns. There was just three points gained from this match and congratulations to the winning threesome who were, Gillian Morris, Ron Cammack & Peter Hinds, they took the lead on the fifth end after picking up four shots and then stayed with it for the duration to finish 15-11. Also well done to Paul Plant, Chris Darnell & Bryan Kirk who came back from being 8-16 down on the thirteenth end to snatch a draw 18-18 against a strong Saturn team on rink six! The other four rinks didn't do quite as well but put up a good fight. Peter Scott, Sheila Cammack & Dave Rutherford made an excellent recovery to come back from being 0-12 down and finished16-20. Margaret O'Dell, Dot Davies & Terry Padgett lost 11-17. Ron O'Dell, Maurice Cass & Jenny Nicholl lost 13-21 and Geoff Paylor, Charlie Watkins & Bruce Aitken lost 13-25. Overall shots:- Supernovas 86(3) - 112(11) Saturns.
Due to the adverse weather conditions on Tuesday our first Federated Fours game had to be cancelled, and re-arranged for Tuesday Jan 28th.
