FARINA RULES AS HERCULES COME BACK FROM BEHIND

Hércules stay level on points with Cartagena, the new league leaders, after they beat fourth placed Levante 2-1. Jorge Pina gave the visitors the lead midway through the first half, but Héctor Rodas put through his own net a few minutes later to level the scores.

The Valencia based side were left with ten men when Cendrós picked up a second booking in the second half, and Delibasic got the winner firing in a low cross after good work by Peña with a quarter of an hour of the game to go.

Luis Garcia, trainer of Levante, was full of praise for Hercules, especially playmaker Farina. "Hercules are very lucky to have him, a player who can be among the very best in La Liga” he said. Despite the setback of a narrow 2-1 defeat, the coach felt that his side were worth at least a share,  “but the inexperience of my players at certain important times during the game deprived me of taking at least one point.

We put up a good performance, but we lack maturity at times, like the expulsion of Cendrós, who was having a good game at that stage. That is what makes the difference between the top teams and the rest" .
Esteban Vigo, meanwhile, praised Hercules for coming back to take the points after going a goal behind. 

"The reaction of my players was very good. We knew it would be a tough game, Levante had options after scoring the first goal, but after the break we knew how to get back at them  and, ultimately, we were able to do that and take all three points and we keep ahead of our opponents."
