Winter League travelled to Bonalba B.C. this week and had a lovely day with our friends there. We had a good result, winning 8 points to Bonalba’s 2. Our Berleen team are still unbeaten as they also won their two rinks and netted 2 more points to add to their tally. Well done everyone, and thanks to Bonalba for their hospitality.
The Jaguars played a Greenlands team and won 10 points to 4. Good show guys, keep it up.
The Cougars went to San Luis to grapple with the Lions, the won 4 of the points on offer, well done to the two trips who won the points and the others in the team for their efforts.
S.A.B.A
The Meteors played are-arranged game on Sunday and hosted a game against Emerald Isle Saturns; we collected 6 points to add to our total. On Monday we travelled to San Luis to play the Klingons and won another 8 points with the Klingons keeping 6. The shot difference was very close, Meteors 109 and Klingons 112, so close to getting the other two points. Well done team.
The Comets played La Marina Pathfinders who found their way to San Miguel no problem. We had a fight on our hands but fought on to win9 points to the Pathfinders 5. It could not have been much closer on the shot difference with only one shot separating the two teams. Great result team, keep up the good work.
The Asteroids the winning streak continues at home as Asteroids make it six in a row and pick up 10pts at home to Horadada Condors, the only disappointment for the captain was an end to his own unbeaten run at home. A good team performance and an enjoyable afternoon. Next week sees us on our travels to Greenlands to attack their new carpet. Well done and good luck. John Staden.
The Pulsars went to Greenands to play their Blue team; the new carpet didn’t trouble us to much as we won 12 points to the home teams 2. The shot difference was 109 to 77. Well done to all of the team and keep up the good work.
We would like to send our best wishes to Irene Ward and wish her a speedy recovery, also our regards to Brenda Clowes and Eddie Potts hope they are better soon.
