POLICE RELEASE DETAILS OF MAN SOUGHT IN CONNECTION WITH TORREVIEJA HIT AND RUN

Louis William Connolly is sought in connection with the hit and run of Michael Barry in Torrevieja in early November 2009

Police have released details about a man sought in connection with the hit and run of Michael Barry (68) in Torrevieja earlier this month.

The man named in connection with the incident is Louis William Connolly, born in England on 01/01/1987. It is thought that Mr Connolly was the driver of the vehicle which was involved in the hit and run incident in Torrevieja. The owner of the vehicle he was driving was another British citizen who is currently residing in Alfaz del Pi. It is thought that Mr Connolly may still be in the Alicante area and anyone who has any information as to his whereabouts are requested to contact either David Sanchez Hernández (dshernandez@guardiacivil.org) of the Spanish Guardia Civil or the Torrevieja Branch of the Neighbourhood Watch (nhwintorrevieja@gmail.com).

I am Louis's father in the UK and my son had nothing to do with this tragic incident.
He has never been to Torrevieja and only discovered through a friend in manchester who rang him to say he was in the local paper.
He immediately went to the local police to explain his whereabouts and to inform them who did this crime.
The man in question has fled back to England and at least 4 or 5 people are aware who it is.
Please do not tarnish my son for this crime.
