PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION OF STREET ART

Following the success of last years the exhibition which focussed heavily on the work of local photographer Ricardo Quesada it has been announced that the 2010 Festival of Street Art will take place at the Museum of San Javier in the New Year. The exhibition will be called ‘Imagine 2010’ and it is open to all members of the public.
The information for potential exhibitors, who have until 27 January to submit their works, is available by emailing info@imagina.sanjavier.es. Each entrant may submit any number of pieces but the general theme that must be used is ‘street art’.
Councillor for Youth in Los Alcazares Jose Luis Espinosa and the Imagine coordinating team, Salvi Vivancos, Alejandra Olmos, and Santiago Martinez also announced news of an experimental on 16mm film to be held in San Javier from the 18 to 22 January, in collaboration with the Laboratorio de Arte Joven, LAB, de Murcia, and sponsored by the Contemporary Art Foundation, of Montevideo.
In addition to this workshop, Vivanco said, there are other exciting projects that will be launched over the next few months including an exhibition by Marc Jenkins, a New York artist.
