AIR COMET GROUND STAFF STRIKE OVER TWO MONTHS NON-PAYMENT OF SALARIES

Air Comet ground staff have announced a series of strikes throughout August following non-payment of their salaries.
Strikes are due to take place during peak flying times on 6, 7, 11, 12, 16, 17, 24, and 25 August.
According to union representatives, at least 150 employees have not had their salaries paid since June. Neither have they received their overtime bonus payments.
Air Comet is owned by one os Spain's largest tour operators, Viajes Marsans, and is based in Madrid's Barajas airport. It runs daily flights from Spain to a number of Central and South American countries.
