The Town Council of Vilamarxant in Valencia Province has approved an order under which it will tax mobile phone companies who operate in the municipality. The tax is to be quarterly and will vary according to the percentage of users each operator has in Vilamarxant.
The tax is based on the fact that the operators have set up their transmission masts on public land in the municipality
