The Clinica Centro Campoamor, which is situated above the pharmacy in Cabo Roig, opposite the Centro de Salud, closed last week. This led to a variety of rumours that the social security health centre in Cabo Roig was closing. We can confirm that this is untrue.
We can also conform that while patients who belonged to Clinica Centro can now go to the Clinica Centro in Torrevieja, the medical centre above the chemist will reopen under new management, hopefully by July 1st.
The managing partnership have split, due to a difference of opinions, and Thomas Ballester promises that the new centre will be much better, with a wide range of doctors and specialists. The chemist and dental clinic is unaffected by these changes.
One thing worth pointing out is that anyone who signed up for the Igualas scheme will now have to go to the Clinica Centro Torrevieja, where the doctors have been transferred to, and which can offer an improved service to the one in Cabo Roig. Anyone who would like further information about this may call Anna on 669669330.
She has commented to The Leader that Clinica Centro Torrevieja are setting into place a system of home visits by British district nurses. These will be aimed especially at elderly people throughout the Costa Blanca, from La Marina to Orihuela Costa. She also wanted to make it clear that this centre is not much further, and that it can offer a complete range of services.
