Chaos reigned for a short time on one of the busiest streets of Valencia last week morning after a woman lost control of her Citroen Xsara, and crashed into a parked car.
After a few moments the car caught fire and she and her baby managed to get out quickly as the flames spread to two other cars and a nearby tree. This meant that the police and fire services were forced to cut Avenida Blasco Ibañez for a cute from all traffic in order to cope with the blazes. However half an hour later, the Avenida was re-opened and the owner of the Xsara, as well as the other cars that caught fire - a Ford Focus, a VW Polo and part of a Ford Transit van - gave their statements to the police
