WHY AM I CONTINUALLY BEING ASKED WHY?

Next Saturday Torrevieja Veterans play the Liverpool Legends at the Vicente Garcia Stadium and I am asked repeatedly why I should go to the game when I don't support Liverpool.
Well guess what, neither do I. My team is in the Championship although by the end of the season they will probably be a rung below that. The Liverpool Legends, players that at one time were the greatest in English football, winning everything before them are coming to Torrevieja because they heard that we have no sponsor, that we need help and this was the only way we could attract some form of income for the club.
All the players, Spanish & British, are playing for just expenses to help FC Torrevieja, so if they are prepared to travel from all corners of Europe to support our club why can't those of you who are living locally do the same. Isn't it worth 15€ or 5€ for kids for what promises to be an afternoon of top quality football involving many of the greatest players ever to grace a football pitch.
As Torry need additional funding in order to strengthen the squad during the January window please do make the effort to attend. We currently have a number of long term injuries. Both Bailen and De Los Rio's are probably out until the end of the season.
So when I am asked why you should attend I say that it's because you can support Torry in their hour of need. By going to the game you will all become sponsors of the club and help the club move forward next year.
Let's look at the situation of other clubs, Eldense, financial problems in paying wages. Villajoyosa - all the directors & chairman have resigned because there's no money to pay the players wages. Crevillente - all the directors and chairman have resigned for the same reason. You will appreciate from the above that during the January window there will be a number of players available. Many of them will want to come to Torry because the club has responsible directors and a president who will ensure that the wage bill will be met. If we have the additional funding necessary it could therefore make an enormous difference to the second half of our season.
So all that we ask is just 90 minutes of your time during which you can make it an evening to remember, not just the Liverpool Legends but the Spanish all stars as well. They also deserve your support as they tread once again onto the famous turf to show off some of their own footballing skills that graced some of the nation's most famous stadiums.
Ticket sales are going well, they are now available from Carrefour, also the Torry Army office. The game is being played next Saturday 29 November kicking off at the Vicente Garcia Stadium at 4pm.
Cheerleaders at the game will be from the Ipswich Theatretrain in England. They are part of the Ipswich Town FC dance squad and perform at all their home games.
