The Torry Army have signed a sponsorship deal with CajaMurcia worth 10,000€ writes Ian Gully.
The deal, which is the latest venture between the two organisations, is a huge step forward in the Supporters' Club's main aim of providing to support FC Torrevieja.
Torry Army President Andy Hermida, who has been working with General Secretary Paul Hurrell to finalise the package, said he was pleased that CajaMurcia had kept their confidence in the Torry Army and FC Torrevieja through the difficult times.
CajaMurcia branch manager from La Finca Antonio Andres Roca, (Canario), has been overseeing the bank's side of the deal alongside Noemi Galiana, who is in charge of The European residents' Division. "This is a great opportunity to push the Football Club and Torry Army forward" Antonio said. "We have been involved with The Torry Army for a couple of years now and have great respect for the amount of work that they provide to help the Football Club function" he continued.
The sponsorship package is only part of the deal the Torry Army has with CajaMurcia. The Supporters' Club also does a lot for charity and this is helped by the money that it receives via the Fundacion CajaMurcia, which enables it to pay the costs of charitable events, this year totalling 10,000€.
CajaMurcia have also launched an affinity card with the Torry Army logo on it which only a handful of Clubs out of the top Division have. The account linked to the card offers holders free banking, free handling of Direct Debits, free pension transfers, and free online banking. The Torry Army account can only be applied for at the La Finca branch of CajaMurcia in Algorfa.
