Specsavers Opticas in Javea and Calpe have a long standing relationship with The Friends of the Children of EMAUS, joining forces with them back in 2011 to provide free eye tests and glasses for their children. They are supporting them once again, by being part of their drive to collect gifts for the children in the home.

Christmas is a particularly difficult time for these vulnerable children, so this campaign will fill a Santa’s sack with presents for each of the 100 children in the EMAUS homes, to really brighten up their Christmas and put a smile on their faces. They are asking for CDs, toiletries, games, school stationery and other school equipment, gloves, scarves and hats suitable for babies and children up to 18 years old. No need to wrap the items, simply drop them into Specsavers Opticas in Javea or Calpe during December.

“If everyone could buy just one extra present when they are out doing their Christmas shopping and donate it to a child in need, it would make a huge difference” Mike Stone from Specsavers Opticas Javea, “we hope people will get involved and make this a wonderful Christmas for the children of EMAUS.”
