On Friday 11th November Help Murcia Mar Menor´s friendship group held a fun lunch at the Puerto 3 restaurant in Los Alcazares. This get together was a good excuse for 72 members and their friends to enjoy a good lunch and listen to some great live music from Red Stokes, aka Terry. After the meal many danced the afternoon away and let their hair down shedding the years. This will probably be the last chance before Christmas for those attending to get together as soon many will have returned to families in the UK or headed off for holiday destinations around the world.

It was also a chance for the members of HELP to say goodbye to Phil and Vera Farmer who are returning to England permanently having spent many years living in Spain and being active members of the HELP charity from its conception.

Both Phil and Vera were active at the Charitie´s car boot sale held on Sunday mornings at the Auto Cine, San Javier, also Phil gave of his time decorating HELP´s first office in Santiago de la Ribera, the pueblo where the couple lived for many years. HELP wishes them well in their new lives in the UK.

This of course means that HELP has lost two valuable members so if you have a few hours to spare that you would like to put to good use in the Murcia region please visit the Charity at our office in Calle Penélope, by the Arches in Los Alcazares or call us on 968 570 059.

We would love to hear from you.
