Our Society outing for July was held at Saurines De La Torre, where 22 members and guests enjoyed a very warm sunny day for the stableford competition. Although very warm there was a slight breeze that helped to cool the players.

The course is in excellent condition and we look forward to playing it again later in the year.

Thankfully a bar has been opened opposite the club house so we were able to enjoy a cool beer after the game. Purely medicinal of course.

The results of this month’s competition are:

Winner with 37 points – Mike Banfield

Runner-up with 36 points – Robert Simpson

Best guest with 35 points – Sean Byrne

Nearest the Pins on Par 3’s:

Hole 6 – Alisdair McLean.

Hole 10 – Stephen White.

Hole 14 – Alisdair McLean.

Hole 18 – Terry Lewis.

Once again a big thank you goes to the staff at the Rocajuna bar for providing the usual excellent service after the game and a very enjoyable buffet.

Next outing: Team game on Thursday 9th June 2012 at Font del Llop.

Captain’s Weekend October 19th – 22nd at Valle del Este (Final payments end of August).

Membership of the society is now due and there are vacancies available at a cost of 30 euros per year.
