Petite Christine Roche, Mademoiselle This is Spain, was born in the French town of Roanne, which lies north west of Lyon. She still has, back in France, her mum, three brothers and their families. Christine was working around the Nice area and decided that she needed to learn English and promptly moved to London to find work and learn the language. Working both in hotel catering and network marketing, during her stay she met her now, ex partner, Steve Hall. Christine was in the U.K. for around seven years and moved to Spain during the summer of 2001.
Here in Spain the first lady she met, Christine told us, was "Violet King of the Nos Moking Club, she was my first point of contact". She had involvement with the telephone business and alarms and in May 2002 helped Steve with the 'This is Spain' Exhibition, of which the original idea came from Christine.
Not having much spare time, we asked Christine what her hobbies were. "Jogging, aerobics and I love the fitness toning tables" she said.
If she isn't kept busy then she can get bored quiet easily but with the exhibition looming before her eyes in just a matter of a couple of weeks we doubt that she has time to be bored of late and now every day is different for Christine and she loves it. She had been un happy during the past few weeks, but now, totally involved with the exhibition this year she is really happy and would like to continue to put on exhibitions in other towns.
This year the exhibition is to be held at Los Montesinos and, even though, the mayor readily agreed and said 'Yes' straight away, Christine had to have the spare piece of ground nearby completely flattened in order to make car parking facilities. With 143 stands, around 110 companies and 2.750 square meters at this exhibition, as you can imagine Christine is being kept very busy.
Christine has struggled and needs to establish herself, but as she always did a lot of the organizing for the 'This is Spain' exhibition she has always taken a lot of the responsibility anyway. She needs to work and it is important to Christine that she enjoys her work, and this she is certainly doing. She believes about everything, including life itself that what you give, you receive.
Christine, is a positive lady, and having mastered the English language is now taking Spanish lessons. The exhibition takes place at Los Montesinos, near the town hall, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th December and as part of your €1 entrance fee you will automatically bee entered in the raffle for a new Kia Picanto car.
