ACADEMIC YEAR GETS UNDERWAY AT ORIHUELA SEMINARY

The 2010/2011 academic year began last week for fifty seminarians in Orihuela. The opening ceremony was conducted by the Bishop of Orihuela - Alicante, Rafael Palmero.
After the dedication Mass the first course lecture was attended by the Mayor of Orihuela, Monica Lorente, along with some members of her governing council . The lecture was delivered by Mariano Espinosa from the Orihuela Cathedral Archive.
He explained the history of Orihuela Cathedral since it was built five centuries ago. The Cathedral this year celebrates its five hundredth anniversary so that was the main theme of the presentation.
At the end of the lecture, seminarians attending the opening ceremony and enjoyed a meal with their, lecturers, hosts and guests
