MONARCH INCREASES SERVICES TO SPAIN FOR HALF TERM
Press Release / 2010-10-16 15:08:21
A rise in demand for flights to and from a range of Spanish destinations during this October half term break has prompted Monarch to launch extra flights.
School is out and the additional flights to Alicante, Malaga and Tenerife will allow families to escape the grey British weather and jet off to sunnier climes this October.
To meet high demand, Monarch will be operating extra services between Luton and Alicante and Tenerife on 22 and 29 October. The airline will also add an extra flight to its Manchester-Malaga route on 28 October.
Tim Jeans, Managing Director of Monarch Airlines said, ‘We have seen huge demand for flights to Spain and the Canary Islands this summer, with record breaking passenger and load factors recorded over the past few months. This demand has continued in to October and these additional services are in direct response to this.’
The additional flights also allow customers who are still to book their half term getaway to find an affordable holiday option.
Taking the three top spots in Skyscanner’s recent survey of popular autumn destinations, Alicante, Malaga and Tenerife are all hot favourites for autumn and winter sun.
