As the bamboo has been cut on the river in Murcia, it will hopefully be easier now to find pegs.
On September 13th, the Club fished the Eden Canal stretch of the River Segura. The bamboo here needs to be cut down also but thats life. The results on the day were:
In first place was Ian Haughton with a weight of 7.10 kilos, second was Dave Hill with 5.78 kilos, third was Stuart Thompson with 5.70 kilos and in fourth spot was Steve Collins with 4.82 kilos.
The match on Thursday 20th will be on the Embalse del Argos at Calasparra in Murcia. At the moment it is only fifty per cent full and falling. Meet on the bank at 8.00am.
The next Quiz night is on Tuesday 25th September commencing at 7.30, and the cost of entry is 1€ per person. Teams of 6 or less may take part.
The Club is holding a Race Night, Bring and Buy Sale and Auction on Saturday 6th October. Items to be brought at 7.00, with races starting at 7.30. Rolls will be available from the bar on the night.
The next Club meeting is on the 7th October, with the Committee meeting at 10.00 followed by the General Meeting at 11.00.
The clubs home is the Bar EL Alto La Dolores which is situated just off the roundabout near the Repsol garage on the N332 between La Mata and Guardamar.
