50+ SOLO RAISING FUNDS FOR MILITARY

The 50+ SOLO is a small group of people and many of you will know we raise money for the ex military and serving military. Due to illness the sums of money raised has been delayed. The figure for the Jubilee Collection has also been delayed as we hope to include a photograph of some special people.
Amount raised for Help for Heroes is..... . . 100euros from a collection box, Rayz Bar, El Raso. Best wishes to Claire/Ann and thanks to all
Amount raised for Help for Homeless Veterans (nothing to do with H4Hs) is ......... 272 Euros Mainly from 50+ SOLOs and friends.
Recently I was approached about a homeless, young, ex military person - who had no money, food or clothes. Did I know anyone who could advise or help? This was on the Friday/Saturday. I contacted the charity we support and his reply was that if the person was interviewed and checked out he would try and arrange a flight at their expense as soon as possible and meet him at a place of his choice?
On Sunday evening Bar Sackos, El Limonar, kindly asked the customers for food and CLOTHES I went into Sackos on Tuesday morning and there was a box of food and lots of tops and shorts and money - why am I not surprised, they are always the same.
Three of us from the 50+ met and chatted to him at Outreach. He managed to get a flight arranged for him by another charity. So it shows these charities are important.
