EXITE ON THE ROAD AGAIN

The Exite Radio Roadshow once again took to the streets of Playa Flamenca this weekend, taking its place at the head of the May Fiesta organized by the Partido Popular, to give thanks to their supporters and friends.
On Thursday, many of the local councillors joined Monica Lorente as she took to the stage following a welcome address by foreign residents favourite, Stefan Pokroppa.
The free food and drink was a plenty and even the political campaign took a well earned break as the music played, the acts performed and there was time for dancing, relaxing and enjoying a few hours as the sun broke through the clouds to mark a lovely late spring event.
Italian opera star Tony Sessolo was first to take to the stage, finishing his concert with a rendition of Viva España as the dignitaries arrived. Emily Hullmann and the JB Just Brass band were amongst the acts that played for an audience that must have peaked at nearly 2,000 attendees at times.
On the Friday, the sun continued to shine, despite the forecast for rain. Street dancers and singers were the order of the day, with Bboy Swagger and Jesse Deacon busting their moves, as Emily Hullmann, Kirsten Mackay and new, rising star Rebecca Holt, accompanied by Josh Gillespie, were amongst the highlights of the day.
The bargains from the market were snapped up quickly, the fun and games were enjoyed by everyone, young and a little bit beyond young.
The music played all day and the weather looked favourably on us, that all came together to make a superb event, one of praise, recognition and, above all, a welcome break from the stresses that these politically motivated times can sometimes bring.
