OLIVER’S ARMY IS ON IT’S WAY
Press Release / 2012-05-09 19:29:03
Yes the stage play of Oliver, directed by Otfried Laux, is back for more performances in May.
Due to a popular demand for tickets in January, Otfried has called back all the cast and crew to perform the show once again at the New Kimrick Theatre in Mojacar. Teachers from the schools in the area saw the show and were impressed by the high professional standard of the production. As a result, the Indalo Players hopes to attract some school children, not only to watch the performance, but to inspire them to act with them in the future.
The new performance dates for Oliver are Friday 18th May – 7.30pm; Saturday 19th May – Matinee 3.00pm and evening performance 7.30pm and Sunday 20th May – Matinee 3.00pm and evening performance 7.30pm.
Tickets are now on sale from Gill’s Linen, Mojacar. Mar y Sol, Mojacar. Total Entertainment, Mojacar or call Tracy on: 687 251 799.
Forthcoming event - A Christmas Carol
It may be a little early to think about next year, but it has just been announced that Otfried will be directing the famous Charles Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’ to be performed in January 2013. He will no doubt use his skills to make it his own version. Otfried has organised workshops for all the people who are interested in taking part whether you are experienced or a beginner, and will encourage, give confidence and develop the skills required for the characters in the play.
All people interested in taking part in ‘A Christmas Carol’ are invited to attend the workshops at the Kimrick, starting on 5th June, to be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 5pm and 8pm.
Otfried is also proposing to run Director’s Workshops at the same time, so anyone who would like to direct and learn more is very welcome.
A wide range of costumes and hats are now available for hire from the Indalo Store. Arrangements can be made by contacting the wardrobe manager Tony on 637 039 055.
