EARTHQUAKE NEAR JUMILLA

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake was registered in the early hours of Monday morning, with an epicentre at Cañada del Trigo, at a central point between Jumilla, Elche and Orihuela.
No significant damage was immediately recorded by the seismology centre in Madrid, and there were thought to be no injuries. Data will be updated throughout the morning.
This whole area of Spain in known to be on an earthquake belt and recent events and scientificspeculation has suggested that a major earthquake maybe immanent.
