THE TEMPTATIONS SELLING OUT FAST

The Costa Blanca is buzzing with the news that The Temptations are coming to the Orihuela Costa for a one night only concert.

 

Since news started leaking out that the world famous Motown group were on their way, organisers Heatwave Promotions have been inundated with requests for tickets. All VIP tickets are now completely sold out and only a few dozen standard tickets remain. Event organisers Heatwave Promotions have been 'blown away' by the response to the news that the Motown legends are to play The Orihuela Costa Resort Hotel on 3rd December. The group is being presented  in conjunction with prestigious sponsors Moneycorp foreign exchange specialists and Spanish bankers Caja Murcia. 

 

The group features 3 times Grammy award winner Richard Street, lead singer since 1971. Street was with the group long before that however. He was called upon to sing vocals from off-stage for Paul Williams who was unable to manage his own vocals due to illness. Once Williams finally became too ill to perform, Richard Street was pulled into the spotlight to take his rightful place as lead singer for all to see! Detroit born Street’s vocals can be heard on such classics as Papa was a Rolling Stone and Superstar (remember how you got where you are). Richard has performed hundreds of shows with The Temptations over the years as a member of the group, visited dozens of countries worldwide, and along with other members past and present, was there when the group was inducted into the Rock-n-Roll Hall Of Fame in 1989. 

 

The doors for this exciting event open at 8.30pm and the show will be compered by well known local performer, Suzy G with full support from the gorgeous Celena Deans.

 

The few remaining tickets are priced at just 45 euro and  can be purchased from The Orihuela Costa Resort Hotel, The Post Room Benijofar, Sunworld in Los Dolses or by calling the ticket hotline numbers 966 792 595 or 965 724 939. An online payment facility allows for tickets to be paid for from the comfort of your own home and collected on the night of the show.

With 3 successful concerts behind them already, Heatwave Promotions have become a force to be reckoned with in the music promotions business in Spain. 2009 saw sell out concerts with The Drifters, Alexander O’Neal and The Real Thing. The Temptations gig has been timed to fall shortly before Christmas and is proving a real draw for businesses wanting something different for their staff Christmas parties this year. 

 

Already booked for April 2011 are The Commitments featuring Dave Finnegan. Summer of next year will see a major name on the Costa with negotiations nearing finalisation with the phenomenally popular Peter Andre.
