GIVING BLOOD IN SPAIN

Dear Editor,
Can you please inform your readers for future reference that if they want to donate blood and are British, and they have lived in Great Britain between 1980 and 1996, they will not be allowed to donate the blood because of the mad cow disease. 

My friend and myself queued for almost 45 minutes to be turned away.  Surely, the town hall would have known this and could have given this information out.   Thank you.
