PROCOMOBEL WELCOMES THE ARRIVAL OF THE MONCAYO MERCADILLO

The Moncayo Mercadillo officially opened last Sunday and was greeted with gathering crowds eager to snap up a bargain or simply enjoy a morning stroll. The market is the latest offering from the Procomobel centre situated on the N-332 at Guardamar which, over the last few years, has continued to grow and establish itself as a leading furniture retailer and home supplies centre.
Having opened in 1959 Procomobel really is the place to go 7 days a week, whether you’re looking for a complete new look for your home or one off pieces, outdoor garden furniture, or a simple stroll on a Sunday morning to get your fresh fruit and veg. The market, behind the main store, may not be the largest in the area but still covers 5000 square metres and already, after just one week, it is well established offering everything you would want and expect. Clothes and food stalls intertwine with some of Procomobel’s more unique outdoor pieces and there is a really rustic feel about the place. It is also suitable and fun for families with a large outdoor inflatable play area for children. They can also get up close and personal with some slippery and rather large snakes!
As visitors enjoyed the sunshine and shopped for a bargain, a Mariachi band serenaded the crowds and got everyone in a party-like mood. “There really is a nice atmosphere here,” said one shopper whilst Jean, on holiday with her family said, “It’s not the biggest market around but actually that’s what’s quite nice about it and its fascinating wandering around the grounds and seeing the amazing wooden doors and creations.”
The Moncayo Market is open every Sunday from 10am-2pm with easy access to parking. The main Procomobel store itself is open 10am-8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays from 10am-2pm.
