PADDY'S POINT GOLF SOCIETY - ST PATRICK'S DAY

We travelled to La Serena to contest the "St Patrick's Day Trophy". On arrival at the course we found that the wind was stronger than normal, this together with the greens being treated the previous week meant that high scoring was doubtful. The final scores were very close in the top positions.
1st place - Tony Kenny - 31 points
2nd place - Ken Dunne - 30 points (on c/b)
3rd place - John Bryan - 30 points

NTP hole 17 - Gerry Buckley
Longest Drive - Tony Kenny
Ian Comaskey took the twos pot.
Many thanks to Andy and Bruno at La Serena for a good day out. We held the prizegiving at La Serena due to Paddy's Point being crowded with revellers celebrating St Patrick's Day.
Our next event will be Captain's Day at Roda on Wednesday 14th April, €55 for members €60 for non members, including buggies. The Captain's Dinner is being held on the same date at Bocados Restaurant, La Zenia, at 8pm.
The cost for 3 course dinner and wine is €16. Please book early for the golf and dinner as this promises to be a very popular day and night with places going quickly. Bookings with deposits to bar staff at Paddy's Point.
